I was just asked by Business Collective about the best way entrepreneurs can give back that’s easy and simple. I recommend teaching at your local university or college. I’ve been an adjunct professor at a San Francisco university for years now. It lets me share my passion and knowledge with others, while also letting me see our youngest entrepreneurs coming into their own. Who knows, you might even find your next great employee or partner here!
Rob Fulton recommends volunteering your time, not just dollars. It doubles as networking and also lets you see firsthand what others are struggling with (and succeeding at!) in numerous sectors. Another entrepreneur likes to seek out educational charities, and you should follow your own passion. If you don’t volunteer in an arena that matters to you, that’s going to be evident.
Andrew Thomas recommends writing and sharing your ideas. Giving back doesn’t have to fit into a traditional mold. By sharing your experiences with the world, you can help others achieve greatness through your lessons. Darrah Brustein likes to reach out to younger entrepreneurs and to be a role model.
